I'm Lilly, the face behind Lilly Marie Photography! I'm an Elk Grove-based photographer with a love for capturing people exactly as they are: the laughs, the little details, the chaos, and all of those in-between moments that end up becoming your favorites.

My love for photography started way back in sixth grade when I got my first camera, and I was hooked. As a gymnast, I quickly became that teammate who brought her camera everywhere, especially to meets, taking action shots and candid photos of my teammates whenever I could.

I spent four years in my high school's Digital Media Academy continuing to learn and create, and in 2020, I finally bought my first "big girl" camera. That's when what had always been a hobby started turning into something much bigger.

It all started pretty simply when I began taking family photos for friends, and after a few referrals, things quickly took off. What started as something I loved grew into Lilly Marie Photography.

Since then, I've photographed everything from families and graduates to some of Elk Grove's biggest community events with Explore Elk Grove and the City of Elk Grove.

THEN I BECAME A MOM.

And photography started to mean something completely different.

I realized just how quickly the little seasons of life disappear. The tiny hands. The belly laughs. The way your kids look at you. The beautiful chaos that might feel completely ordinary right now but won't always be.

That's why some of my absolute favorite photos aren't the perfectly posed ones, and they're the ones where everyone forgets about my camera for a second and just is.

Of course, we'll get the photo where everyone is looking at the camera for Grandma's wall. 😉 But I also want to give you the images that actually feel like your family.

Because someday, those are the ones I think you'll love the most.

WHEN YOU BOOK WITH ME...

Don't worry about knowing how to pose or wondering what to do with your hands. That's my job!

I'll guide you when you need it, give you prompts to get everyone moving and laughing, and leave room for the genuine moments to happen naturally.

Kids being kids? Totally okay.

Someone needs a snack break? We can handle it.

Your toddler decides they're absolutely DONE with photos? Been there. 😂

My goal is for your session to feel easy, comfortable and fun, and for you to walk away with photos that genuinely feel like you.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me with my family, coaching gymnastics, running, or dreaming up my next photography idea.

I'm based in Elk Grove, California and photograph families, maternity, graduates, headshots, events, sports and more throughout the greater Sacramento area.
